As West Chester’s authentic Irish pub, we enjoy entertaining our guests with an array of events. As we head into the winter months, there is every reason to come warm yourself with a brew and partake in one of our unique gatherings. We have regular musical performances booked throughout the week, and also host several distinct seasonal events.

Local-centric

Coming up this Saturday, Nov. 19, we’re excited to be taking part in West Chester’s Craft Beer and Restaurant Stroll. This event celebrates the diversity and quality of our town’s food and drink scene, and allows you to try some of our craft brews and Irish-inspired fare.

The next event we are excited for is our 7th Annual Running of the Turkeys on Sunday, Nov. 20. In this boisterous race, participants dash a mile while carrying their own frozen turkey. A handful of prizes will be given out to those who display clear aptitude for turkey carrying, and those who particularly get in the holiday spirit with animated costumes. We will have a limited number of turkeys for sale on the day of the event, and all turkeys and proceeds benefit the John DeBella Turkey Drop.

Beer Lovers

Looking past Thanksgiving to the even colder months, we have a very special holiday beer dinner planned on Wednesday, Dec. 7. To plan this four-course dinner, our bartender Taryn Dillon first chose her favorite seasonal beers available at Kildare’s. From there, she worked with our head chef, Stephanie Gray, to nail down four gratifying courses of fine cuisine. The first course consists of a Sweet Potato Bisque with Ginger Sour Cream paired with New Belgium Brewing Company’s Accumulation White IPA. Next up: a Cheddar, goat and smoked Gouda Cheese Plate with Dried Cranberries and Spiced Walnuts, paired with Port Brewing Company’s Santa’s Little Helper. The third course follows with Dechutes Brewery’s Jubelale paired with Grilled Flat Iron Steak, served with a Jubelale Cherry Demi, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. Save room for dessert: Baked Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream and Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale. Tickets can be purchased here.

All-Around Fun

Coming off a successful Harry Potter Trivia Night, we are excited that our next Trivia Night will take place on Dec. 16 and be based around Star Wars! Make sure to grab tickets for your chance to use your knowledge of all things Star Wars to win tickets to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story!

As always, we are open for ALL English Premiership soccer games and as many rugby games as possible (the list is growing!). We are in the midst of an exciting round of rugby matches and look forward to the Six Nations Rugby Tournament as we pass into the new year. Make sure to consult the full schedule and join us for every game (even as early as 7 a.m.!).

At Kildare’s of West Chester, we take pride in being an Irish pub that has something for everyone. Whether you fancy an exquisite dinner, a few drinks while watching the game, or giving back to the community by running down the street with a frozen turkey strapped to your back, we want you to be a part of it. We hope to see you this winter! We’ll have the fireplace on.

Kildare’s in West Chester is a destination: an authentic Irish pub that has something for everyone. We’re a place to bring the family for weekend brunch; cheer your favorite soccer (or American football) team; enjoy next-level fare at a business lunch, dinner with friends or special event; spend happy hour (questionable dance moves and all); and, of course, imbibe great beer, whiskey and other adult libations. Join us and find out why we’re not your average Irish pub.
